ZERO

Imagine my surprise, when in a shameless act of self-googlization, I learned that I do not exist. Not in these United States. 0 people named Ralph Murre. Which I take to mean "zero". But it might be O, I suppose. As in "Oh, people named Ralph Murre, why are you here, googlizing, when you could be sitting on the terrace of some pleasant taverna overlooking the sea, writing the poems that would save the world?" Alas, no, all I can see is zero. A circle of nothing. It gives me pause . . .

on this hillside
where blossoms have drifted
we wait for fruit

You're not a goose egg in my book!

You must have spelled your own name wrong. I found two entries at whitepages.com and plenty if you just google your name. Perhaps a few too many hours at the taverna....

What the hell, Ralph. So much for Google, the framework for your blog sites. No shame in remaining anonymous, though. You've got the connections you need, and I imagine your creditors know who you are, Casperson, and other essential service providers. Interesting lack of internet recognition, though...

It just means you're even more unique than if there was one of you listed!

Thank you all for your concern. It turns out that I do exist, after all. It's just the White Pages people that do not know it. In fact, there seems a chance that I'll be around longer than the notion of phone books, or at least, phone wires. To be or not to be? Google yourself.
